We are adding new applications that meet participant requests as part of the integration of the systems that are developed and operated by MKK with international payment and messaging systems such as SWIFT.
Currently, integrating Electronic General Meting System (e-GEM) with SWIFT has been included to our project plan. The details on developments that will be used in the 2016 corporate actions period are provided below.
General meeting convocations will be able to be sent through SWIFT messages in addition to the existing notification methods (SMS/e-mail) in case such a request is made by our participants. SWIFT notifications will also be in English for the companies that post their meeting agenda on the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP) in English. Our participants will be able to direct the SWIFT messages to investors.
The instructions received from beneficial owners through SWIFT will also be able to be registered to e-GEM in SWIFT message format by our participants that cast their votes as proxies on e-GEM.
Our participants will be able to make SWIFT communication in ISO 15022 (MT) or ISO 20022 (XML) message types. The ISO 20022 “Proxy Voting” messages that were designed by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for general meeting and proxy voting processes have more advanced features, particularly including usage of Turkish characters, compared to ISO 15022 messages. Our participants’ consideration of ISO 20022 message types in their integration preferences would be suggested. Application message contents will be announced in future notifications.
