The Electronic General Meeting System (e-GEM) is a system where general meetings can be held in a legally valid manner, and those who have the right to attend the meeting can attend these meetings electronically and exercise their rights.
e-GEM enables those who attend the meeting electronically to watch the general meeting live from anywhere with internet access without physically attending the general meeting thanks to video and audio transmission, to send their opinions and suggestions on the agenda discussed simultaneously, to cast their votes simultaneously with those who physically attend the meeting, to appoint representatives electronically, and to receive information and notifications regarding all processes instantly.
e-GEM, which can be used not only by listed companies, but optionally by all joint stock companies, sports clubs, unions, cooperatives, etc. in Türkiye, is an information system where all transactions before, during and after the general meeting can be carried out with an electronic signature for the institution holding the general meeting, those who have the right to attend the meeting, representatives, intermediary institutions and other stakeholders.
With e-GEM, Türkiye has become fully compliant with important international regulations and principles regarding general meetings and has started to be cited as an example in foreign media and international reviews and reports.
