Crowdfunding is a new investment system established with the aim of bringing together the financial resources that are needed to implement new business ideas, which develop value-added and competitive technological products and services in our country.
With the enactment of “Communique on Equity Based Crowdfunding” in the Official Gazette on 03.10.2019 by the Capital Markets Board, it has become possible that the crowdfunding activities can be carried out based on a strong legal infrastructure. MKK is designated as one of the stakeholders of the crowdfunding system together with the crowdfunding platforms, relevant authorities (Takasbank and other portfolio holders which complies with the communique mentioned at the top), entrepreneur and venture company and investors.
MKK has already started working on the establishment of the Crowdfunding System (CFS) in this context. During the process, the projects of the entrepreneurs and/or venture companies, which are approved by the investment committees, will be accepted by the platforms and hence defined to the system. It is necessary for investors to become members of the platforms in order to provide funding for the projects in the CFS. The investment limit controls will be carried out based on the ID information that are shared by the investors during the platform membership processes. The limits regarding the collection of funds by the entrepreneurs and/or ventures will also be checked through.
The CFS project has come to its final stage and the crowdfunding platforms are expected to start integration tests accordingly.
