Our CEO and Board Member Dr. Ekrem ARIKAN, along with the MKK delegation, after completing their meetings in Hong Kong as part of the program organized by the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG), of which MKK is a new member, traveled to Indonesia and held important meetings.

eASY.KSEI, the version of the Electronic General Meeting System (e-GEM) developed at MKK R&D Centre and adapted for Indonesia, began being used for the first time by the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI) in 2020. This marked MKK's first technology export. Dr. ARIKAN and the MKK delegation held productive meetings with Mr. Samsul HIDAYAT, President of KSEI, and KSEI executives about the e-GEM project, which has been successfully serving the Indonesian capital markets since 2020. They evaluated the next stages of the project and new cooperation opportunities during the meetings.

Our e-GEM product has been actively used in Indonesia since 2020. Since then, more than 900 companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange have successfully held over 5,000 general meetings via e-GEM. MKK is also developing and will soon launch a general meeting system for Indonesian debt securities.

During the visit, Dr. ARIKAN met with Mr. Inardo DJAJADI, Chief Executive of the Capital Market, Derivative Finance and Carbon Exchange Supervision (OJK), to discuss enhancing cooperation between the capital markets and central securities depositories of the two countries. The MKK delegation also met with Mr. Iman RACHMAN, Chairman of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ,and Mr. Kautsar Primadi NURAHMAD, Secretary General of the IDX, to provide information on e-GEM and other financial technology products and services of MKK and discuss bilateral cooperation.

Dr. ARIKAN and the accompanying delegation also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Jakarta and met with Mr. Erkan KİPER, Chief Commercial Counsellor, and Mr. Burak AVCI, Commercial Counsellor, to discuss economic relations and new opportunities between the financial institutions of the two countries.
